(4-methylsulfanyl-phenyl)-acetonitrile CAS Registry Number 38746-92-8 mp:40 C This substance is moderately toxic by the oral route. Laboratory animals were exposed to this substance by the inhalation route at 10 ppm for 4 hours. All animals survived the remainder of the 14 day study. It is non-irritating to the eye and skin. It is not a skin sensitizer in experimental animals.
