PVP是polyvinyl pyrrolidone,聚乙烯吡咯烷酮

聚乙烯砒咯烷酮是由乙烯基砒咯烷酮聚合而得。简称PVP,分子量5000~700000。 PVP是无臭、无味的白色粉末或透明溶液。具有优良的溶解性。低毒性、成膜性、络合性、表面活性和化学稳定性。可溶于水、含氯溶剂、乙醇、胺、硝基烷烃和低分子脂肪酸。与多数无机盐和多种树脂相溶,不溶于丙酮、乙醚等。
PVP的固体和溶液都很稳定,具有成膜性和吸湿性,其薄膜无色透明,硬而光亮。加入某些天然或合成高分子聚合物,有机化合物可有效地调节PVP的吸湿性和柔软性。PVP有很强的粘接能力,极易被吸附在胶体粒子表面起到保护胶体的作用,PVP有优良的生理惰性和生物相容性,对皮肤。眼睛无刺激或过敏,实际无毒,LD50>13000mg/kg。
PVP主要用于制造喷发胶、发乳、摩丝,在头发上形成的薄膜富有弹性和光泽,梳理性能优良,不沾灰尘.还可用作增稠剂、分散剂、稳定剂等。贮存于阴凉、干燥的库房内.隔热、防潮、避光。
