[详细说明]Position: Title Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Division: Product Development

Title of Supervisor: Manager or Team Leader or Engineering Supervisor



1. Job Purpose:



Mechanical design is primarily concerned with ensuring that form, fit, function and ease of manufacture are satisfied during the product design process. The unambiguous and comprehensive conveyance of all information/data, required to manufacture products cost effectively is a fundamental and core responsibility. The accurate capture and translation of customer requirements into innovative, novel and robust design solutions that have been validated is also a central activity for ensuring the quality of product designs.



2. Principal Accountabilities:


Responsibilities listed below do not represent the full scope of duties and responsibilities, but aims to be representative of the fundamentals expected of a Senior Mechanical Designer.



It is implied that a Senior Mechanical Designer would be competent, and willing to undertake any task expected of a Mechanical Designer.



All work will be carried out in accordance with company SOP`s, policies and procedures.


· Focus on 3D modeling, drafting and CAD training

· Create and implement Engineering Change Instructions

· Unsupervised participation in development projects

· Assume responsibility for own design commitments delivering to agreed timescales in line with project plans. Proactively manage the progress of design related ECO's to implementation where the originator may be a junior team member or contract design resource.

· Participate in cross functional projects

· Generate data required for the design section of the development history files (DHF).

· Orchestrate Design FMEA's

· Interact routinely with all levels of company management, surgeons and vendors

· Checking internal and externally generated models and drawings to verify mechanical integrity and ensure data conforms to company standards and requirements.

· Liaise with and supervise vendors contracted to supply design related information to the company.

· Develop and design, company related systems, procedures and specifications.

· Mentor other team members & contract design resources on company processes, applicable software systems and general design and draughting principles.

5. Qualifications and Experience:


Possess a mechanical design engineering background.

Possess a minimum design engineering qualification plus 5 years experience.
